Day 1: Arrival at Leh
Upon your arrival at Leh Airport (IXL), you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The day is dedicated to rest and acclimatization to the high altitude. Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing
After a good night’s sleep and breakfast, proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Leh. Visit the iconic Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa for a panoramic view of the Leh town, and the Thiksey Monastery, a majestic gompa with a beautiful statue of Maitreya Buddha. Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
Today, we drive to the stunning Nubra Valley, crossing the world’s highest motorable pass, Khardung La (18,380 ft). The journey offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Upon arrival in Nubra, check into your camp/hotel. Later, enjoy a camel safari on the sand dunes of Hunder (double-humped Bactrian camels) and visit the Diskit Monastery. Day 4: Nubra Valley Sightseeing
After breakfast, explore the hidden gems of Nubra Valley. You can visit the villages of Turtuk or Sumur. Turtuk is a remote village and was a part of Pakistan until 1971. Spend the day exploring the serene beauty of Tso Moriri. You can take a walk along the shores of the lake, visit the nearby Korzok village and its monastery, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Day 8: Tso Moriri to Leh
After an early breakfast, begin your return journey to Leh. The drive is long but offers more stunning views of the high-altitude desert and mountains.
