Day-wise Itinerary: Leh to Srinagar 8N-9D Bike Tour Package
Embark on an incredible 9-day motorcycle journey from the high desert of Ladakh to the lush valleys of Kashmir, traversing diverse landscapes, ancient monasteries, and historic battlefields on the Leh-Srinagar highway.
Day 1: Arrival in Leh & Acclimatization
Upon your arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL), our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Given the high altitude (11,500 ft), it’s crucial to rest and acclimatize. Spend the day relaxing at the hotel to adjust to the altitude. In the evening, your bikes will be handed over, followed by a briefing about the tour, road conditions, and safety measures.

Day 2: Leh Local Ride & Sightseeing
After breakfast, kickstart your bike adventure with local sightseeing in and around Leh. Ride to the iconic Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa for panoramic views of Leh town, and explore Leh Main Market. Visit the Hall of Fame, a museum maintained by the Indian Army. In the evening, enjoy the sunset view from Shanti Stupa. This day is also for a final bike check and familiarization with the terrain.

Day 3: Leh Monasteries Tour (Bike Ride)
After breakfast, embark on a monastery tour. Ride to visit some of Ladakh’s most prominent monasteries, including Hemis Monastery, one of the largest and wealthiest in Ladakh, and Thiksey Monastery, known for its Maitreya Buddha statue and resemblance to the Potala Palace. You can also visit Shey Palace, the former summer residence of the Ladakh kings. This ride offers a deep dive into Ladakh’s rich Buddhist culture.

Day 4: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La (Bike Ride)
Today, you’ll ride to Nubra Valley, crossing Khardung La (17,582 ft), officially one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Enjoy the dramatic descent into Nubra Valley. Upon arrival in Hunder, check into your camp/hotel. In the evening, enjoy a double-humped Bactrian camel ride in the sand dunes (optional, on direct payment) and visit Diskit Monastery.

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (Bike Ride)
After breakfast, continue your adventure by riding to Pangong Tso (Pangong Lake) (approx. 5-6 hours ride), traversing the scenic Shyok Valley route. Pangong Lake, at an altitude of 14,270 ft, is a stunning high-altitude lake known for its mesmerizing changing colors. Check into your camp near the lake. Spend the evening mesmerized by the serene views.

Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh (Bike Ride)
Witness the beautiful sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, start your return bike ride to Leh (approx. 5-6 hours ride), ascending the challenging Chang La pass (17,590 ft). Take a moment to appreciate the views from the pass. Upon arrival in Leh, check back into your hotel and relax.

Day 7: Leh to Kargil (Bike Ride)
After breakfast, begin your ride towards Kargil (approx. 6-7 hours), marking the transition from predominantly Buddhist Ladakh to the Muslim-majority region of Kargil. En route, visit the Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Ladakh, also known for its ‘moonland’ landscape. Cross the formidable Fotu La (13,478 ft) and Namika La (12,198 ft) passes. Visit the famous Magnetic Hill and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Reach Kargil by evening.

Day 8: Kargil to Srinagar (Bike Ride)
Today is the final leg of your bike tour, as you ride from Kargil to Srinagar (approx. 7-8 hours). Traverse the Zoji La Pass (11,575 ft), often considered one of the most challenging passes, marking your entry into the picturesque Kashmir Valley. Witness the lush greenery replacing the barren landscapes of Ladakh. En route, visit the Kargil War Memorial at Drass (subject to time and road conditions). Upon arrival in Srinagar, return your bikes and check into your hotel/houseboat. Enjoy the serene beauty of Srinagar.

Day 9: Departure from Srinagar
After breakfast, check out from your hotel/houseboat and transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey, carrying incredible memories of your Leh to Srinagar bike expedition.
